What is Nutritional Therapy

Why would you come to see a nutritional therapist? How could you benefit from this? 

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science which promotes optimum health. We use several different tools to assess and identify the body systems that maybe out of balance and understand how these may contribute to a person's health issues. This allows us to work with you to help bring you back to balance. Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for those with chronic conditions, and also for those looking for support to enhance their wellbeing.

As, practitioners we consider each individual to be unique and create bespoke, personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

 

Nutritional therapy is not a replacement for medical advice and so will always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional which is usually their GP. I will also frequently work alongside a medical professional to explain any nutritional therapy programme that has been provided.

When I take you on as a client, I take a thorough case history from you, I listen to you and I research deeply into what the best options are for you. The plan I create is specially created for you. You will not given a 'diet' as such but a lifestyle plan to fit around what works for you and your life. This is done with the utmost care and understanding.
